A heads-up play by a University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Medical Center emergency room doctor got orthopedic surgeon Jack VanderSchilden out of bed and in the emergency room.
The toe was reattached, and almost a week later, McFadden was headed back to the UA.
He had to wear a protective boot, and a pin had been inserted...
