[Wolf] WR Lewis To Visit Montana St. -- LA Daily News
USC wide receiver Whitney Lewis is expected to visit Montana State today as he begins his search for a new school.

Lewis is also considering Northern Arizona and Northern Iowa, according to sources. He must attend a Division I-AA school if he wants to play without sitting out a season.

The former St. Bonaventure High of Ventura star originally contacted Montana State last December but changed his mind about transferring. However, following an off-field issue not related to academics several weeks ago, Lewis and USC decided he should play elsewhere next season.

He caught just three passes in his USC career, all in 2003, and was academically ineligible in 2004.

Jarrett Reinstatement Expected -- LA Daily News
USC believes wide receiver Dwayne Jarrett will be reinstated without missing any games next season following the NCAA's decision to declare Jarrett ineligible for violating the "extra benefits" rule.

Trojans coach Pete Carroll does not think the matter will sideline Jarrett and believes he will be reinstated without problems.

Carroll has been eager to fight the issue ever since being informed by USC's compliance office that the living arrangement might violate NCAA rules.

Jarrett lived with quarterback Matt Leinart
and paid only $650 per month rent at the luxury Medici apartment complex in downtown Los Angeles. Leinart also paid $650 while his father paid about $2,600, according to USC.
