USC wide receiver Whitney Lewis is expected to visit Montana State today as he begins his search for a new school.Lewis is also considering Northern Arizona and Northern Iowa, according to sources. He must attend a Division I-AA school if he wants to play without sitting out a season.
The former St. Bonaventure High of Ventura star originally contacted Montana State last December but changed his mind about transferring. However, following an off-field issue not related to academics several weeks ago, Lewis and USC decided he should play elsewhere next season.
He caught just three passes in his USC career, all in 2003, and was academically ineligible in 2004.
