Jarrett Reinstatement Expected -- LA Daily News
USC believes wide receiver Dwayne Jarrett will be reinstated without missing any games next season following the NCAA's decision to declare Jarrett ineligible for violating the "extra benefits" rule.
Trojans coach Pete Carroll does not think the matter will sideline Jarrett and believes he will be reinstated without problems.
Carroll has been eager to fight the issue ever since being informed by USC's compliance office that the living arrangement might violate NCAA rules.
Jarrett lived with quarterback Matt Leinart and paid only $650 per month rent at the luxury Medici apartment complex in downtown Los Angeles. Leinart also paid $650 while his father paid about $2,600, according to USC.
