John David Booty waited three years for Saturday night.He endured multiple injuries and lingered in the wings for his opportunity to lead Southern California on the field as the Trojans' starting quarterback. He could have transferred to any Division I program, be greeted with open arms and named an immediate starter.
Instead he honored his commitment and waited for the spotlight to find him. He is the personification of patience.
