Wide receiver Mike Williams doesn't know why he didn't play in Friday's 21-3 loss to the Oakland Raiders. Apparently neither does coach Rod Marinelli.Williams, who received little playing time in the first two exhibition games, got no snaps in the third exhibition game.
He was healthy, and Marinelli acknowledged that Williams hadn't broken any team rules.
After Friday's game, Marinelli addressed the decision not to play Williams by saying: "guys earn their time in practice."...
