It was full gear and at times full "go" for the USC football team Tuesday, 11 days before the Sept. 2 opener......The nine punt team players made it clear that Carroll expects no replay of last year's failure to cover. The nine cover people lining up with punter Greg Woidneck and snapper Will Collins were pretty much the first-team defense -- at least the back seven.
Here's that lineup: Lua, Maualuga, Mays, Kaluka Maiava, Brian Cushing, Dallas Sartz, Kevin Ellison and gunners Terrell Thomas and Josh Pinkard.
