Mark Sanchez owes us an explanation.

Or so say some journalists, most prominently a respected Los Angeles Times columnist.

Tossed a few questions recently about his ignominious spring visit to the 9-0, Sanchez went all Lawrence Jackson and batted them down, denying he knew about it. For this he was roasted in print.

"(The writer) blasted me," said the redshirt freshman quarterback. "OK, it's over. Read it, learn from it, then it's over."

Sanchez surely deserved some criticism for sidestepping the questions...
