...Freshman C.J. Gable has positioned himself to be the Trojans' starting tailback against Arkansas with consistent play during fall camp...

...Gable would likely split time with fellow freshman Allen Bradford, who has established himself as the Trojans' new "big" back.

"He's a really physical guy, one that really showcased early. Now that we've got some different things going and trying to teach him pass protections and some different things, it's slowing him down a little bit. In time, in about the next week or so, you're going to start to see his game really elevate again."
