Carroll said he would report any instances of other schools contacting his players to the USC compliance office. He wouldn't disclose the reasons for dismissing Holland, other than to say it wasn't, "along the lines you might suspect like breaking rules or laws or something like that."
Teammates indicated that Holland...was not always present at team meetings...
