Top 20 Recruiting Classes - Athlon Sports
...No. 1 USC (25 signees)
For the third consecutive year the Trojans have landed the nation’s top overall recruiting class. The Trojans...had some major rebuilding to do. Pete Carroll responded nicely by landing running backs Stafon Johnson, Emmanual Moody, Stanley Havili, Kenny Ashley, Josh Tatum, and C.J. Gable to replace White and Bush...Southern Cal also addressed their future need at wide receiver...The Trojans landed receivers Vidal Hazelton, Jamere Holland, David Ausberry, Travon Patterson, and Anthony McCoy. The Trojans addressed their defensive needs by signing LB Allen Bradford, DL Butch Lewis, DB Taylor Mays, LB Michael Morgan, and DB Antwine Perez. The Trojans only signed one offensive lineman in Zack Heberer. The Trojans signed 12 PrepStar 100 players, seven PrepStar All-Americans, five PrepStar All-Regional selections, and one junior college transfer in TE Gerald Washington. Despite the talent he lost, Pete Carroll re-tooled his team very nicely.
