New deal: Holmgren says fire burning - Seattle Times
Mike Holmgren remained as Seahawks coach beyond the 2006 season because of three things: a wish to stay in Seattle, his health and his competitive desire to coach.

After talking with his wife, Kathy, the Holmgrens knew they wanted to stay in Seattle. Then came the question of Holmgren's health...
