[Hiestand] ABC puts colleges in prime time - USA Today
For the first time since NBC's ugly XFL experiment in 2001, a broadcaster will see if regular prime-time football can grab viewers on TV's least-watched night.

Starting with Notre Dame-Georgia Tech on Sept. 2, ABC will air marquee college football games or regionalized coverage of two games on Saturday nights. ABC can move big afternoon matchups because it has the rights to most big-time games...
