...the biggest problem this offseason at Southern California:
the sexual assault investigation against backup QB Mark Sanchez. In football terms, a conviction would end Sanchez's career and put USC in a perilous situation at quarterback. Projected starter John David Booty recently had surgery for recurring back spasms, and any team doctor will tell you that back problems almost always linger. Should Booty's back flare up in the fall--and if Sanchez's case keeps him off the field--USC would be down to former walk-on Michael McDonald or incoming freshman Garrett Green. McDonald is the son of former Trojans QB Paul McDonald, and Green was USC's fallback recruit when it lost Elite 11 QB Tim Tebow to Florida...
