Former NFL offensive lineman Travis Claridge...died from acute pneumonia, the Clark County coroner's office ruled Tuesday.The coroner's office also said the painkiller oxycodone and an enlarged heart contributed to the Feb. 28 death, which was ruled an accident.
Ryan Claridge, a second-year pro with the New England Patriots, said his brother was taking a prescription painkiller because of an injury to his left quadriceps.
"He had a doctor's prescription," Ryan Claridge said. "It wasn't like he went off and took it on his own. The fact is he died from acute pneumonia."
