USC's Harris a willing fill-in - OC Register
When USC safety Josh Pinkard went down with a season-ending knee injury this week, he wasn't the only one experiencing a flashback. The entire Trojans' secondary was steeped in déjà vu.
None more than cornerback Cary Harris, though.
Last season, Harris, a junior, stepped in when Kevin Thomas sprained his right ankle and missed the next two games. Thomas returned but then broke his foot against Arizona State and missed the rest of the season, leaving Harris to step into the starting cornerback spot.
This season, Pinkard was expected to move to cornerback from safety and presumably start over Harris. But, like last season, Harris now finds himself in the starting spot and will be on the field Saturday...
