[Miller] USC legacy is Booty's dream - Seattle P-I
...one way to consider John David Booty. He's the God-fearing, young Southern gentleman gone West -- his few belongings stuffed inside a red kerchief that's tied to the end of a stick -- to seek his fortune amid the bright lights and Hollywood starlets that surround USC, the nation's biggest, big-city program.

The other is this: If the junior doesn't win a national championship or, at least, a Heisman Trophy, he's failed the Trojans quarterback legacy he inherited.

Neither is a completely fair or accurate portrayal of the nation's most publicized quarterback...
