
The reason Detroit Lions wide receiver Mike Williams was sent home early from last week's mandatory minicamp was because he missed a treatment for his sore hamstring and then was late to a meeting.
Lions president Matt Millen was responsible for sending Williams home last Thursday morning.
Williams missed the final two days of the three-day minicamp, but was back at the off-season workouts on Monday.
