USC's Pinkard out for the season - OC Register
USC free safety Josh Pinkard will miss the remainder of the season because of a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, university officials announced today

Results from Pinkard's MRI returned today revealing the severity of the injury. Surgery likely will be scheduled for later this month. The junior is expected to apply for a medical redshirt this season.

The loss of Pinkard severly depletes the depth of the USC secondary because he could play both cornerback and safety. The Trojans likely will look at freshmen Antwine Perez and Taylor Mays as possible replacements...
