...And then there was the offense.

Despite new starters on the offensive line, in the backfield and at quarterback, USC ran off 31 straight points to turn a close game near halftime into another Trojan trouncing.

"People doubted us and didn't really know what we had," redshirt junior quarterback John David Booty said. "To come out and score 50 points was great."

But the game did not start as a track meet...
