Pete's party began at Pacific - Stockton Record
Ten thousand people gathered inside Pacific Memorial Stadium each Saturday afternoon in the fall of 1972. By the end of the night, many of them ended up at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon house on Fraternity Circle.

"It was a real 'Animal House' type of setting," Pete Carroll said...

...Carroll transferred to Pacific from College of Marin and earned a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1973. After graduating, he had an unsuccessful tryout with the Honolulu Hawaiians of the World Football League and got a job selling roofing materials in the East Bay.
