It was going to be one of those columns that wrote itself.

"So USC came up with the next best thing to sate 21st-century blood lust:

"The Trojans vs. Idaho. In football."...

...It would be a blowout of Georgia Tech-vs.-Cumberland proportions.

(That one ended 222-0, in 1916.) Monumental, that is...
