Gillespie deserving of role with Yanks - MLB.com
Mike Gillespie was a highly successful college baseball coach for nearly 40 years, but he says he has received a valuable education in the past year as a member of the New York Yankees' organization.

"It's been a great honor and a tremendous learning opportunity to be with the Yankees this past year," says Gillespie.

Gillespie, 67, spent the summer as the manager of the Staten Island Yankees of the Class A New York Penn League. Gillespie's team is in contention for the league title, and you can hear the excitement in his voice when he talks about his young players and the challenge of his job...
