for backup quarterback Mark Sanchez's return to playing after three weeks watching film with a broken right thumb.

"How about that Nerf ball experiment?" Coach Pete Carroll asked, laughing at how Sanchez went from tossing a toy Tuesday to the real thing Wednesday.

"From Nerf ball to full recovery in one day," said Carroll, who tossed Sanchez a ball while they met in his office Wednesday and said he should give it a go...
