USC aide upbeat following meeting - Contra Costa Times
Former Oakland Raiders quarterbacks coach Steve Sarkisian interviewed for the coaching vacancy Monday, he confirmed in a phone call Monday night. He is the first candidate known to have received an in-person interview since Art Shell got fired Thursday.

Sarkisian, 32, spent most of the day at Raiders headquarters in Alameda in a face-to-face interview with managing general partner Al Davis. He left without a job offer but filled with hope.
