QBs in spotlight but defense needs help - OC Register
...with three consecutive recruiting classes regarded among the top two or three in the country, there is no lack of good-looking athletes.

An early name to remember is JC transfer Gerald Washington, a 6-foot-6, 255-pound tight end who looks even bigger than that. This guy is a 23-year-old, former Navy helicopter mechanic who played only a year of high school football before enrolling at Chaffey College.

So he is a little raw, but he already has an NFL body and he can run. If nothing else, USC coaches ought to experiment a bit with him. You never know.

Maybe he can play a little defense.
