...USC kicker Mario Danelo had a blood-alcohol level of 0.23 percent...when he fell off a San Pedro cliff and died......"It is our opinion that there are unanswered questions as to why (Danelo) was out walking the cliffs in the early hours of the morning in the dark," Jeffrey Gutstadt, deputy medical examiner of the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office, wrote in the report.
The report questioned Danelo's state of mind at the time of the incident, noting that he would have had to climb over a wall while under the influence of alcohol to get to a narrow strip of land before reaching the edge of the steep drop of about 150 feet.
