USC's Schubert Becomes U.S. National Swim Coach - AP via KCAL-TV
Longtime Olympic coach Mark Schubert is the new national coach and general manager for USA Swimming.
Schubert will leave Southern California, where he coached for 14 years. He will give up his camps and duties with the Trojan Swim Club to focus full-time on his position with the national team, which begins in May and runs through 2013.
"Mark Schubert is the most respected coach on any pool deck in the world," said Chuck Wielgus, executive director of USA Swimming, on Sunday. "Hiring him is the equivalent of hiring the Mike Krzyzewski of basketball."...
